hey guys got a question...bought my 2008 ss hhr 5spd in august.. love it great car. since then i have a catless downpipe and trifecta tune. my biggest problem is i found out the car doesnt have a LSD. cant put my power down to the ground to save my life. tires are crap and i plan on getting a good sticky pair within the next couple weeks.. will this fix my problem or is getting a LSD my only hope of putting power to the ground

 

Try better tires and a set of motor mounts and a tranny mount. That should help a bunch. I would try those before putting the money and time into installing an LSD.

 

Thats the route i was planning to take just needed some insight.. Cant believe they wouldnt come standard with LSD all that power going to the front wheels or should i say wheel in my case lol

 

Sadly it was only an option, should have looked for that "G85" code .

 

That blows, I was thinking that all 5speed had LSD's.

 

LOL... They all should have, but only 5 speeds with the G85 (performance package) option came with the LSD and Brembo's...

 

The good thing about the auto trans is it leaves two long black strips of rubber, until you hit the rev limiter or the torque management kicks in.

got some stickier tires on now def helps but now i can feel the clutch slipping on 3rd and 4th gear pulls time to upgrade i guess

 

Except '08 where you could get just the G85, no Brembo's. I got an LSD with sissy brakes.
