You could always get a Quaife LSD installed. It ain't cheap but it'll be awesome. The wheel hop on my old car was shameful and burned up most of the power. My HHR SS with the LSD is a whole different experience.

i always recommend a clutch as a first "big" mod if you plan on uping the boost. i had a spec st 3 in my hhr ss and it held strong and helped put down power. i will be doing this to my cobalt first instead of getting tuned. some people are lucky and get away with being on the stock clutch others,not so much. it's the torque that kills these clutches.

Dumb question: Since our motors put down max torque at only 2000RPM (5SPD) does that mean we are constantly unleashing hell on our clutches even during daily driving?

you hurt the clutch when you "lug" the motor. if you are at a low speed in 5th and you go wot,that is bad for the stock clutch(probably for any clutch)
