Dejon IC vs. Hahn IC Upgrade

Hi,

I am contemplating upgrading the intercooler on my HHR SS with either the Dejon rated up to 600HP or Hahn rated up to 700HP. Has anyone on the network installed either one and are you happy with the results? Secondly, what would be the benefit of going with the 700HP rating if the SS will never even be close to that rating?

Thank you,
Sooner SS

not saying you can't or won't,but people are scratching and clawing for 350-400hp,so the 600/700hp thing you won't have to worry about. both units would produce equally IMO.

i went with hahn because i want just one brand on my car.meaning when something goes wrong i know where the part came from and don't have to guess was it the dejohn, hptuners,or,hahan part that failed.

I would find out how much each weighs. The build quality on my Hahn is excellent, but I was surprised by how much it weighs. Personally since they are both good quality I would go with the lighter unit.

Is there a third company making charge tubes for the SS, or is it a small choice of one or the other?

one or the other or you could always go to any quality shop that works on turbos and just have one fabbed up yourself. most people i know fab up their own charge pipes.

Does Synapse not make a intercooler for the HHR? I know the Cobalt SS/TC guys run those and they are like $450.

Hahn has always been known as the best and the best products. The quality is hands down much better with Hahn if you see both items in person.

Putting a HP rating on an intercooler is pretty much silly showmanship designed to attract newbies. Intercoolers should be rated by CFM at a specified pressure drop.
