i might be wrong, but it's not a rating in that sense. more of a what it's function is good up to. in other words,"this ic flows realy well, but after 600hp,it's crap." i agree with ya though on the need to say how much it flows.

Dejon or Hahn?

Any opinions on which IC piping is better for the SS in terms of better fitting and quality? I know there is a supporting vendor onboard here but was looking to see which one previous buyers preferred better based on their experience.

Grab the crazy steve intercooler and it will be more than enough. Save yourself the rest of the money and grab some piping. The front mount is 200

FYI, Not that Im bashing Hahn, but there are a couple of SS cobalt guys out here in az that had to have the end tanks on the hahn IC rewelded. The guy that tuned my HHR was asking me if I had one and that shop had to fix both IC's. Hopefully all was taken care of.

Z, thanks for your info. I will consider it and then make up my mind which to choose. I heard that the lower pipe change does not make much difference so I may not change that one but I want the silicone hoses and T clamps. Thanks again!

I went with hahn intercooler and pipes when they first came out. they had a pretty good deal going on so i got in on it.
I have run hahn many times before on plenty of DSM's. Never had any problems, quality is amazing, fitment is always like a glove. That being said, it was no different with the IC and piping. I have had no problems at all, about 12,000 miles of road time with them installed. Only issue as stated was the weight og the IC. was a bit on the heavy side but thats a minimal issue.
There are plenty guys on here that will call BS on hahn products but luckly for me I have been nothing but completely satisfied with them.

Dont worry about who's lighter because if you do end up getting more power out of the engine, you'll need more weight upfront to keep the tires sticking to the pavement. Also anything under 100lbs is only fractions of a second in terms of 1/4 mile speed.

I recently read on here that a member had problems installing their CrazySteve IC due to poor fitment issues. For me, ease of fitment is worth a few extra dollars. If a part needs to be modified to fit after you spend money thinking it's going to be a bolt-on affair, that may turn off some potential buyers regardless of the low offset cost.

Sorry brother, I figured those"fitment issues" were taken care of by now. Especially after seeing SSfan install his without any known issues. I assumed the design had been corrected to fit the HHR SS well across the board. It's still a nice looking piece, see if my suggestion works out for you. If not, get a Hahn and I'll install it for you!
