Still not grasping the "This is normal thing". This morning on the way to work, I was doing 60 mph and nailed it and it went to 22-23 lbs (finally)......then I let off......tried it again from 60 and it only did 16-17 lbds. Is this really normal? I hardly even hit the 22 range anymore.....

I would go back to the dealer and have them to check it out. That does not sound like it is running right. It is a shame there are so many issues with the stage 1 kit.

Is this an auto gmguy? if it is remember that the boost is also dependent on shift/RPM points. Case inpoint, if I hit the gas at 60 on my non-stage the tranny is not really ready to downshift at that RPM so i only get 10 psi and it stays that way til 80. But... if i floor it at 70 the boost spools to 15 psi and stays that til the shift is done around 80. mine also does this at a lower shift point around 35-45 when the tranny is in between shift points and the RPMs don't allow it to spool like crazy. If you have a 5 speed try down shifting and punching it right away while RPMs are high. play around with the kit to find RPM sweet spot. torque curve might be flat, but power curve isn't.

You are correct.

With Turbo boost it is RPM related anyways as it is driven by engine exhaust, More exhaust more boost. So in most cases high RPM's are a friend to our Turbo.

Now add to this the electronics controls, weather, alt, temp and other factors it will vary. Like you stated there are sweet spots and you just have to learn them. Turbos are not like a supercharger where you vary the pressure with just a pulley and Engine rpm.
