§ Solstice and Sky Manual = 290HP@5200RPM / 340TQ@3600RPM

§ Solstice Automatic = 290HP@5200RPM / 325TQ@3600RPM

§ HHR Manual or Auto = 290HP@5200RPM / 315TQ@4800RPM
Bill,

Could you comment on the reason for the lower torque output of the FWD
HHR SS versions vs the 25 ft# higher torque rating of the RWD Solstice
versions. I suspect the clutch is the limiting factor as I am guessing the RWD
clutch is stronger. Can you confirm??

I am running a tune on HHR SS 5 spd with about 100 ft# more than stock
and the clutch slips a little in high gear at max torque of about 3200 rpm.
Not unhappy- just trying to confirm the weak link.

Thanks for your posts and solid info.

limitations of the f35 tranny... the transmission in the fwd can only hold 320ft lbs of torque so 315 is right on the limit.

Bill,
Can I install everything in the kit and then drive to the dealer and have the PCM flashed? I would rather solder the connections for the new sensor connectors. I'm not sure if the car will run with the new sensors without the new PCM flash.

Thanks for all the good info.

Runs fine as long as you drive normal.....fuel trims will be slightly negative.

The differences do not have anything to do with the clutches. The differences are due to the FWD driveline vs the RWD driveline capabilities.

I do not recommend doing this. It may cause codes and conditions you do not want. My recommendation for the home installers is to trailer the car to your dealer.
