the vehicle is untuned for the k&n filter.......

2 options...... A) put stock filter back in or B) get a custom tune

where in MD are you located?

I had problems and they droveme up a wall for a little while, but they were eventually resolved. I would buy the kit again in a heartbeat. Especially with the auto, the car is a whole different animal.

After 2yrs, all my issues were resolved once the crimps were replaced with solder.

When the OP makes a blanket statement like that I think comments from anyone who hasn't had a problem are perfectly legitimate. I think it's the GREATEST add-on GM could offer (short of further power-adders that is). A manufacturer selling a warrantied power-adder is a no-brainer to me. Granted....I wish I had more and when my warranty expires I will be researching other alternatives.....but I would drop the $$$ for the GM Stage kit again in a heartbeat.

Has anyone actually found a problem with the Stage kit????? Every post I've read regarding Stage issues (but I don't live on the forums either) have been tied to incorrect install or further aftermarket additions (like the K&N here).

Personally I've been Staged for about 2.5 years and over 50k without a single blip.....granted I made alot of calls to various dealerships till I found one who could prove they knew what they were doing and agreed to solder and loom the connections from the start. Not trying to start an arguement....just giving the General credit for a positive product.

I can promise you the dealer just didn't do it right.

Any small holes in the insulation, any connection that is not firm and solid and it will act excactly like you described.

Stay on the dealer and have it soldered, shrink wrapped and made firm so the solder won't break.

Then the difference is amazing.
