WTF? $97 for shipping, I held the boxed kit in my hand at the dealer and an it weighs less than 2 pounds, is about 8"x3"x3". How do they ship it, transport beam?

 

That's their standard modus operandi. They lure you in with absolutely the best parts prices available... then nail you to the cross on shipping. Net net is very often the same as you could get locally or at one of the "better" online sellers, but with GMPD, you can be assured of major hassles should anything go wrong (even in a case that it's clearly their fault).

Not worth it at any price, IMO.

 

My local dealer quoted $550 but I can't get them to commit on an install charge.

 

Then buy the part from them, and when it comes in just pick it up and shop around for the install. I bet they will commit then.
