Glad your grinning from ear-to-ear.....it's worth the pain, isn't it!
In Wisconsin it's $85 less. Do you know how much a hot dog used to cost at Shea (or now Citifield) stadium? Probably 5 times more than some stadium in Wisconsin. My point is that pricing is relevant to the local economy. From my experience in NY, I either got blank stares about the install or a firm fixed price of 200 bucks for those who know how to do it. My local dealer has to pay their techs enough to survive in the local area. Just because the cost of living might be less in your area of the country, don't make the guy feel cheated because he didn't get the price that you did in your local area. If the job was done correctly, a measily $85 bucks is irrelevant.
true 87-I had mine done at the same dealer you did. I believe mine was the first one. The parts guy hadn't heard of it-had some trouble finding it, but happily did. They gave me a quote and stuck to it. I had them do it because I liked the way they treated me and trusted that they would read the instructions and do it right. Would a house from Beverly Hills cost the same if it were in some small town in Kansas? Does a few bucks really matter that much?
I got my stg 1 installed last week. Sport Chevrolet in Silver Spring, MD charged me $468! I should have done some research on here before I got the work done! (they did have handy free shuttle service though)
