Gmtu new harness

Hey All,
Anyone know anyone decent in Southern California who can do this install with the 'plug and play' harness (Stage Kit 19212670HK)? I keep getting labor estimates that are WAY out of line, unless $218.00 sounds right. Can other (non GM/Chevy) mechanics do the install? I want the upgrade, but don't want to pay a fortune when it sounds like a fairly simple install.
Thanks!

With plug harness at max you should pay 1.5 hrs labor.... Mine was under 45 mins but charged for hour

Had mine done with the new plug-in harness. The dealer still charged for the old 2 hrs. labor per the rate book. $190. Apparently the dealers labor books have not been updated to include the "faster" and "easier" install with the new plug-in harness.
I argued the point but then realized. Hey, Its just a one time charge. So I just paid the bill.

It's a lot of go power, I'd give them the money, they still have to keep it from rubbing on the bottom, I think they will earn that 200.00, soon enough. What is that 3 tanks, of gas in Calif. ?

Right you are, just about three tanks. It goes in on Saturday. Can't wait to notice the difference. I've had a few cars with upgrades and 30HP for 7 bills seems like a bit of a bargain anyway. Thanks.

Just over $200 is about right and is what I paid even though the tech took much longer than two hours.
His two quotes were:
"You got a good deal" and my favorite,
"Good luck driving that thing in the snow".

Thanks for all the info, everybody. Anyone know if the new harness has helped with the problems people seemed to be running with a K&N filter? I'm hoping this won't be a problem as it has for many others.

Harness isn't an issue with the filter. The old way of splicing the wires and/or the splice getting chaffed by the ac compressor was that problem.
The K&N filter issue was the oil getting on the maf sensor.
Two seperate problems.
