The filter issue has nothing to do with the GMTU or the harness, it's a MAF calibration issue and many people don't even experience it. You may get lucky.

Great. Unfortunately I got nothing but bad news from my local Chevy dealer in Glendale, CA regarding the install. I took it in Sat. at 9:00am for the install and an oil change. Suppose to be a noon pickup. They close at 2:00pm on Saturdays, so no problem, right? I'm waiting and I get the call at 1:00pm . Guy tells me GM's website is down, can't re-flash, can't release car. He tells me the rental car agency they use closes at 1:00pm on Saturdays, so I'm out of luck. Sorry, but nobody will back until Monday morning. They offered no workaround of any kind. The only offer was, if I can get there after 7:30am on Monday, maybe I can get a rental car until they finish as the site should be up by then. WTF? I'm a dad with stuff to do on the weekend...kids soccer game, karate matches, a birthday party and whatnot. This is HUGE inconvenience for me and the family. Not happy. I hope they show me some love on Monday, or I'm going old school with the letters to mgmt. or something. Any thoughts?

Well that just s--ks! Unfortunate, because when a website goes down over the weekend, usually the computer wizard won't fix it till Monday.
Seems like the dealer could have sent you to another rental place that was OPEN! Or better yet,at least given you a loaner. Good Luck.

It all worked out. They threw in the Mobil 1 oil change for free, fixed my remote for free and are sending a shuttle for me now. If I don't throw any codes when I start opening it up, I'll be one happy HHR SS owner. Thanks, everybody.

Just remember. Sometimes you need to do a pcm reset by either disconnecting the negative battery cable for 30 seconds or pulling the pcm fuse for 30 seconds. It may be flashed correctly but sometimes it doesn't want to take. Delphi pcms are finicky sometimes

Chevy of Montebello said they can install it. Im not sure if their tech has done one before but the dealer is about 2 miles away from me so im not sure..I was told Martin Chevrolet in Torrance has experience with GMTU installs. I called them and left a Voice mail. Hopefully they get back to me. Its a bit of a drive but if they done GMTU's before it may be worth the drive.

I have never heard that nor done it on any of the installs.
