1. Where exactly is the air filter located? From the pictures it looks like its somewhere in the lower part of the engine bay. ??

2. How high off the ground is the filter and is it somewhat protected from the elements? Since i'm in Canada we have to deal with snow/slush for four or five months of the year.

3. I have heard that the K&N filters (or more specifically the oil on them) will cause the check engine light to come on. Anyone have any insight here?

Thanks!
As far as the K&N filter causing CELs, it could be due to the fact that the K&N is an oiled filter and with my Audi, many times the oil could blown through the system causing MAF problems in turn causing CELs, many aftermarket CAIs utilize a dry cone filter, in all honesty I don't see why anyone couldn't scrap the K&N filter and get another dry cone filter that fits over the piping. Maybe HRC could consider giving us an option between the oiled K&N cone filter and a dry cone filter.

I'm in, I like the looks of this system, and if Amsoil comes out with an EA filter, I would swap out the K&N. Had an EA Filter on the SSR and was very happy with it....

you could even just cross-referrence the K&N filter part number with AmsOil and find one the same dimensions. i have a good buddy that is an AmsOil dealer, and he did just that for the filter i put in my Camaro. speaking of, i need to get on that and order the filter haha. though i'm not driving the Camaro much now...i guess i can wait til i get it into better driving condition.
