I had Doug Chevy in Akron do mine.

They were great and I did have an issue with the T map hitting the AC. This was due to the IC needing to be spaced forward. They moved it under warranty.

I paid little over $100 for the install a going on 2 years ago. I bought the kit through my work at a disc.

I also have had no issues with the connectors as the tech knew how to do them right.

$600 including the kit is ok. You might find it a little cheaper to shop it around. The key is to get a good service department as the install is only as good as the tech that installs it. As you can see here some have nothing but issues and many never have a problem. They are the same parts and only the installer is different.

First time installs are not a big deal if you have a good tech. The skill of the tech is more important than anything. A bad tech can screw up a 2nd and 3rd install too.

My Tech was the Dealers Turbo guy that not only worked on SS HHR and Cobalts but also all the trucks. He even owned a Cobalt SS. He knew what he was doing. Might ask if the dealer has a dedicated or trained Turbo tech on staff. Odds are he will be better to deal with this kit.

Make sure the connections are done with the proper tool and that the lower map has clearance of 1/2 or more from the A/c compressor. These are the big to areas not covered by any TSB's. The tab on the intake that needs removed is corrected in the instructions and also in a TSB.

As for worth the money the truth is this is one of the best performance bargins in the industry. If you don't have it now you don't know what you are missing. Now that I have it I could never go back.

The Auto SS is more effected as it brings 1st and 2nd gear to life. The 5 speed also feels the effects but to a lesser degree.

I didn't have mine installed at Josephs but they've been servicing my SS since. Had it installed by another dealer... That screwed thing up.

They replaced my Turbo back in May and she's been running great since.

Their customer service is top notch. Tibi is the man

Matter of fact they have my car as I type.

I would highly recommend Jack Maxton Chevrolet in Columbus. They did my stage 1 kit and installed a Exeedy Hypersingle clutch in my SS. I'm waay out on the east side of Columbus, and drive by several Chevy dealerships to go to Maxton. I would NOT recommend Ricart or Coughlin!
