BartSS,
Can I tap into the pipe I got, or do I have to switch it out? I know a BOV, 2 vac lines, a plumbed spot on the IC pipe, and a block-off plate is pretty much the procedure?

instead of tapping into the IC pipe, could I mount it where the BCV cover is now? Anyone know?

Your running Dejon? with the BOV flange already there right?

I really don't want to have to weld and then re-powdercoat a flange on the exsisting pipe, especially since I don't have a replacement.

You cant put the bov where the current BPV is.

Basically if you would put the BOV on your current charge piping you would simply take the line running into your current BPV and hook it to your BOV since the stock BPV would be blocked off.

Yeah im running the Dejon with the flange on already. You can always just get the piece with the flange welded on it. Thats a thought

You may wait just a bit on the blow-off valve. There is a company that makes an all metal bpv for our turbos called Forge Motorsport. If you read through the 15 page thread here: http://www.cobaltss.net/forums/2-0l-...oup-buy-236385
A member of the cobaltss.net forum organized a group buy for the bpv's through a company out of FL. If I understand his thread correctly, somewhere on one of the last few pages he said the company was sending him a part to test on his car. It is a plate to space out thier bpv and vent it to the atmosphere. If that is correct, and you can wait to see what happens, it could save you some trouble.

Just a thought.

Ok, I just quoted his post and asked him about it so you shouldn't have to hunt back through the thread.

OVERBOOST,

Just got off the phone with Mike from Forge.... The BPV will fit the SS! They were working on a BOV that mounts at the BPV but had clearance issues with the shim plate.

Thank-you for turning me on to this. my only concern is the recommended maintance. reminds me of the days when most of my friday afternoons were spent torqueing down my lifters just so I could drive for the next week.(not for the inexperienced, I broke valves, dented pistions, etc. it took a re-build to teach me!....not proud of this--shot a rod and covered the car in oil while racing a 3000GT)

I think I will guinnea pig this, I'll let you know when I order....Yellow spring in my future....

The Forge BPV isn't louder than the stock BPV is that's what you're thinking. I had one on my car.

Foolmoon, define the recommended maintenance the Forge piece needs? I'm looking at geting one and from what I read at the CobaltSS forum it needs to be greased/oiled @ install correct? If I have to periodically tinker with it and re-oil it like a K&N filter that may FUBAR my plans for purchasing one.
