How much boost from the stage 1?
How much boost from the stage 1?
Ok. I have a new 2009 hhr ss and I just got the stage 1 installed...the only performance mod thus far.
I live in the charlotte, NC area. I am getting 19-19.5 psi boost punching it.
I have read in other threads guys saying
23_25, even 27 psi. It would be great if anyone that has the stage 1 could list location, psi numbers, dyno (if gotten), and other performance mods they've done that could factor in.
I am seeing more power all the way through acceleration, which it feel more like a sports car vs. An economy car with a turbo. I hear the BOV more now too.

I have an 09 with Stage 1. If I nail it, I get 19-21 psi...depending on the temp outside.I live 8 miles outside NYC in the suburbs. I have spiked to 23-24 many times but have not had that happen too much off the line anymore. However, I run the car in Comp Mode quite a bit and it is punchier than in regular mode. If I am doing 40-50 and hit it,it will hit 23-24 psi everytime and it takes off like a rocket. I've heard people getting 27 and even 30 psi....but I have yet to see that myself.

Is there any news on the possiblity of a stage 2? I know GMPD got cut back some, but curious...(actually on the open air intake and catback by GMPP as well)/
No other parts are planned as of what we have been told. GMPD is still working to get the Cobalt kit out soon.
I would think there will not be a stage 2 since the clutch and auto tranny will not take much more than what we already have.
Also with this being the last year of these cars I see them moving on to other cars that will get the 2.0 Turbo in 2011.

I have the manual, but what would the stage 2 even be? Stage 2 in the SC engine was a smaller pulley and remap. With the 2.0 being a TC, not sure what that would entail. Or stage 3 for that matter either.
There is no answer to the question that could apply to everyone. Atmospheric pressure can vary greatly. Humidity, elevation and ambient temperature all will influence the pressure that reads on the gage.
