foolmoon , This is a few camera shots on a bright sunny day taken inside the hole were the SS gets it's CAI I'm not seeing any light or holes for any real flowing intake. With a tune a forced air intake is going to get it done the best, IMO

 

I'd be more concerned with torque ratings then hp ratings for a transmission myself.

 

Batman I believe you are correct but, it has to draw air from somewhere. Is there room to extend a tube through the existing opening?

 

Anything is poss. with the tools and funds. I'm not seeing any space here .
