if you click the "click here for camshaft specs" link it takes you to the specs where it just lists 2.2 ecotec.

Edit: If he called Comp when he ordered these and had them custom ground were they the same price as listed or were they more expensive?

The only reason I'm asking is because I think cams with the bigger fuel lobe would be a worthwhile mod but not for the price that ZZP has listed. Camshafts should be about $250-325 a piece. Not $900 for a pair. That's ridiculous to me.

It's been my experience with Jim Leineweber doing my Flathead cams, it costs more. You have set-up/ grinding off the base circle to give the additional lift, then of course re-hardening..

Least that's how it works on Harleys.. http://www.leinewebercams.com/index.html

But I believe his shop could re-grind about any cams..

it is not as simple as calling up comp with our part/grind numbers and getting our cams. we (ZZP) has a couple years into perfecting the cams, i guarantee you will get the wrong ones if you contact comp directly. our specs have never been secret,

Duration at 1mm lash Lift

Stock cams 203.6 int duration .406" int lift

194.0 exh duration .406" exh lift

ZZP Stage 1 212 int duration .424" int lift
206 exh duration .420" exh lift

(notice this duration spec is @ 1mm lash, the box is at .050, thats why the numbers are a few * different :) )

^^^taken off of our LNF S1 cam page. i see where you are coming from in thinking that its as easy as getting the grind numbers and calling comp, but it simply is not...that is why we leave comps stickers on the box, and cam card in the box.
