Intercooler piping

What is the benefit of aftermarket intercooler piping? Any improvement in HP? I am looking at the Hahn piping. I have the GMTU and a catless downpipe. is it worth getting?

You can get better airflow depending on which aftermarket you go with.
The aftermarkets are usually stronger(metal). The stock units are plastic.
Plus the aftermarkets look better!

Well said Fireman. I haven't heard of anybody blowing up a metal one.

Haven't busted a pipe, but I blew a coupler at 120mph. Talk about a letdown.lol. Just make sure you spend the extra on the t bolts, and tighten them good. I blew mine right after the install while testing it was secure enough. It wasn't. Make sure they are tight. Now haven't had an issue since.

The Hahn piping is great. They have a lot of good deals right now too. I would check out their FB page and see what Cyber Monday deals might still be around. Their exhaust is worth every penny.

Will as you can see they do get quite Hot

CIA's upper pipe is one piece, unlike Hahn, ZZP & a few other that are two pieces, for an intercooler, Hahns or ZZP are excellent choices.

One piece upper charge pipe FTW! Less couplers=less problems and promotes less turbulence.

Hahns piping has a coupler up top for future BOV options.

Will the 3 bar GMPP sensors work with the CIA piping without any modifications? I thought I may have read somewhere that the GMPP 3 bar sensors wouldn't work with the CIA piping unless they specifically built it for the GMPP sensor?
