Sounds good, I'll pull the code after work & see what it comes back with.

If it's new, yes. If it's over oiled yes.

I think SSFan meant P0101.

Especially if it's oiled.. If that is the case I would 1st do the MAF cleaner thing and try it again.

hmm you guys have me thinking about this! Would I be able to install this with my ZZP intake before tuning? Im on GMS1 now and have a clutch issue, so I cant retune until that's taken care of in a few weeks (ky stage 3). Ive been staring at the intake for a few weeks itching to get it on. I have the stock airbox lid off and am getting a maf code now so I want to get it taken care of (hate having the lid on)

Hi
As a science project I just ordered the intake tube and "breather" fitting from K&N for my SS.
I have silicone reducer coupler's from another project I did that I got from Ebay.
I'm using the stock round air cleaner. I've read some articles about air cleaner performance and air flow isn't that much different between OEM and K&N filters, if anything at all.
Called K&N at 800-858 3333 and ordered:
P/N 087147A Intake tube $40.99
P/N 08938 Breather tube fitting $5.58
Will it make a difference? Don't know until I install it.
Can't see spending $250 when it cost me like $47.00 shipped.
Thanks

and that's what I call hot rodding! changing parts to improve performance, sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. I went with an idea from other members for more air getting to the air filter I drilled the appropriate sized hole in the driver's side of my 2.2 stock air box and used ABS plumbing 2" pipe and a coupler salvaged the ends of my destroyed wolleyworm ( thanks GM tech guy!) and ran it to the area just above the rad for cold air supply, (no, not that Air Supply) its not an SS but some members may find this helps

Some other guys have done the same thing.
That tube WILL, make a big difference in everyday driving, with nice,
crisp, throttle response...
I'm going to order, another intake tube, just for a spare...
