Im going to ask the dealership tomorrow how much to install it, they want $614 installed where i bought it and i can get it at CED for $485 so we'll see if it's cheaper to buy it and have them install it that way.

My car is 100% stock now and for some reason i hit the gas WOT and it goes to like 5psi, then creeps to 10 then goes to 15. It does this after each shift as well. Will it go straight to 25 or w/e psi the gm turbo upgrade goes to?

My buddy has the BSR tune and his goes directly to 25psi and holds.

Non-GM tunes will show up....trust me. I keep mine all GM, that way if I grenade the transaxle or something I know I won't have to fight about it.

I've seen enough from a buddy at GM to convince me they can figure out if an aftermarket tune has been in the car even if you reflash it back to stock. After the Duramax debacle, they are fed up with paying for people's mistakes.

But in the end, it's your car and your money.

Im not saying that a computer whizz couldnt find out that you have had it tuned in the past. But I think that you guys are giving the gm mechanics too much credit. It least around here, I can guarantee that most around here have never even see a turbo cobalt or hhr ss. Another good thing about the trifecta is that it still keeps the safety feature that stops the turbo from overspooling but still gets rid of the relearn feature in case that you want to add exhaust and/or downpipe. The thing is, that if I grenade the engine from driving like a jackass, my guilt wouldnt allow me to claim it, I would just pay for the repair from a tuner shop (more qualified in most cases anyhow). Now if I had problems out of nowhere, then thats a different story.

With the GM Upgrade, does the autos go directly to 22+psi or does it go to 10 then creep up around 5k to the peak boost like the stock tune?

All turbos "creep" its called Lag, the 2.0T has very little lag, and yes to answer your question the boost builds very quickly to 20+, you ask for power and its there.

My buddy has a hahn exhaust, downpipe, intercooler, hardpiping and bsr tuner and goes directly to 25psi, that's why i asked.

I hope it's worth it :)

It's built in. GM tells the tech to send snap shots of the Tech II screen if there is any question. Very simple.

never heard of anyone getting "caught" yet with the trifecta so I may be the first I guess.

My husband has been bugging me to ask this.

How does GM find out you have an aftermarket tune? Or that you had one and flashed it back?

I had my GTO in and out with 3 rear diff's that went (only 15k miles on the car) never had a problem with them voiding a thing and had a tune on it from 3 days after I bought it. (would flash back with HPT before I took it in) So either my dealer is nice, or to lazy to check I am guessing.
