i am getting the head lightly ported will i need to tune it or not

To get the most out of it you will need a tune. It will however, run fine without a tune but I would would say, if you're going to go that far, go all the way with a tune.

why are you going into the motor??? did it blow on you??? i really don't think it's worth it,unless you popped it. tune and upgrade the turbo.

That is pretty nice that the dealer will let you port/polish the heads while apart under warranty.

Make sure they put it in writing that it's still covered under warrantee if you blow another head gasket... You don't want to be on the hook for it if it comes around again.

I take mild as being cleaned up with some port matching??
Otherwise I'd consider a CNC ported head.. hear they bring up to 60 HP and 30 TQ with a tune and nothing else. Wish they would have tested without a tune..would be interesting.
Pricey at $1100 though.
