Depending on how much powertrain warranty you have left I would think twice about porting. Next blown gasket or anything else is on you.

I think he asked whether he needed tuned or not. I don't see any questions about warranty in his posts....why does everyone feel the need to hassle him about his warranty?

Otherwise I'd consider a CNC ported head.. hear they bring up to 60 HP and 30 TQ with a tune and nothing else. Wish they would have tested without a tune..would be interesting.
Pricey at $1100 though.
the heads that gm sells in the performance parts book dont work on the lnf those are for the lsj ,2.2 and 2.4

it doesnt void your warrenty. lingenfelter does head porting on the vettes and they are still covered under full warranty it only voids if you do valves.
when my buddy bought his mustang the dealer took the heads off and had them sent out to be done he still has full warranty also.

Sadly Lingenfelter (RIP) is no longer around, but his co. is.
& I'm sure he had things worked out with GM for his 'tweaking' on the vettes & etc.
