Ram air

I was thinking about what kind of hood scoop might look good on the HHR SS. The more I thought about I couldn't really think of one that would look good. Then I saw the scoop on an STI and wondered maybe that would look decent since its up tight towards the windshield and isn't long along the hood line. I'm curious what people think and maybe post some pics of HHR's with all kinds of hood scoops.

I am liking this one that Bill had posted, and it's functional.

That's what I was thinking the other day. For some vendor to make a hood so that the short ram intake to get cold air!!! I'm sure a vendor will attempt to do it

I've always like the one on the Mini-Cooper. I think it would work well on the HHR. Maybe someone with Photoshop could mock one up for all to see.

At first I was like you looking for a scoop but I can't seem to find one I think fits the look of the HHR. So now I am leaning towards a louver hood for the retro look. I will still have to find a true cold air intake setup though.

What I have considered was a copy of a T/A rear facing hood scoop made into a custom engine cover.

That's what I did on my 62 Vette,only it's forward facing.

How about the old style bubble scoop used on the 60's impala's and such.. 2 openings faced backwards and were screened. I think JCW still sells these
