Motor mounts? And that will cause a clunking sound even with normal light shifts at a cruising speed?

How do I check the mounts?

The two dealerships I have been to did not have any HHR SS 5spds to compare it to.

Re warrantee, the lower BOSCH TMAP sensor (part of the kit) went out on mine a few months back, at about 31k mi/37 months. The dealer charged me about $200 to replace it (parts & labor) because it was slightly over the calendar BTB warranty. I went to GM customer service and put in a claim and they opened a case. After they had done their due diligence with the case, they refunded me the entire cost, parts and labor. When they say that the GM Turbo Upgrade kit falls under the new car warranty, from my practical experience I found that GM stands behind it.

Does anyone know the time changes this "stage 1" will have on an SS 5spd?

RBodeman, if you want to find a dealer who is a master at the LNF and not crazy far from you, try the one in Newburgh, NY but make sure you ask for Travis. If he's not the technician who works on your SS, it'll be wrong, so insist.

I had my GM Turbo Upgrade kit installed by him almost 3 years/33k miles ago and except for a sensor failing (not the wiring, but the BOSCH sensor itself; not his fault; it was a component failure), all has been well. The failed sensor reduced boost to 5psi, but didn't leave me stranded.

And Travis used the dreaded "crimps" that most technicians don't know how to install, but he had the right die and torch (I wonder how many dangerous vehicles are out there with airbags repaired with these "approved" crimps from inept technicians). He also modified the clearance between the compressor and the lower sensor connector.

BTW, the sensor was about a month out of warrantee when it failed, and GM still covered it.
