If it is what I had it is not that common and all GM needs to do is include in the instruction or have a TSB to state to make sure there is enough clearance for the T map and how to move the IC or push the hose on more.

If they had to make a new T map just for this kit you would never pay the pirice it would be. Using off the shelf parts save a lot of money and keep the kit price down. Also with the SS now done there will be less and less call for the kit.

Was your problem the IC hitting the TMAP?

My issue was the lower T map hitting the AC.

When you move the IC forward it moves the tube forward and keept the T map from hitting the AC when the engine torques back under a load.

The movment of the engine lifts the tube up and hits the AC compressor. This shorts out the T map and pops the blow off valve.

It is a real chain of events that you can not see with out the engine in gear and on the ground under a load.

The T map will never hit the IC as it goes to the back. Just the action of moving the IC forword on the mounts moves the Tube and T Map away from the AC compressor and it give you the space you need to clear it. It take only a little.

So pretty much ask the tech to check if the TMAP is hitting the ac and if so shim out the IC or make sure the correct air pump or no air pump flash is in the ECU?
i had my upgrade done last year,
i've romped on mine a little. mostly to avoid idiots and haven't had a problem.

The tech that did mine told me the lower sensor could hit the a/c unit, knocking the sensor which can cause it to lose boost. it is that close but i havent floored it to where it hit

however he installed it without removing the pipes. I did have to remind him to remove the boss from the sensor though.

and yes the air pump and no air pump is in the ecu flash.

Well, tech fixed my car today. Total install was only $614.25 all in all.

The bottom TMAP was indeed hitting the AC so he fixed her up and now she boost beautifully.

It's running about 23-25psi depending on what gear i WOT it at. Anything below 40mph is tire spinning lol

Can someone post a picture or diagram of the location of the bottom TMAP?

I don't think all that many are being installed. I called 6 dealers here that move a lot of product and only one had done the install and it was on a Sky Redline.

On a closed course i waxed a 05 SRT4 with diablo tuner and intake from a 40 roll :)
Just had a hunch as it sounded as if it was doing what I went through.

Glad it is fixed.
