You go from 235-250hp, without the kit, all the way to 290hp, plus a very ''noticeable'' increase in torque.

With GM stage 1 and a piggyback HPTuners I run 275Hp at the wheels.
Also have Dejon spring and wastegate turned all the way.

The First and Second gear is the greatest noticable improvment here. The boost is no longer restricted like it is stock in these two gears. It really changes the caricture of the car.

As stated before... The Automatic see the greatest improvment for the $$ spent. We get almost 50HP! When I picked mine up, it was like a whole new car. 10-15HP makes your "Butt-Dyno" look really hard for the added punch.
50HP makes it Pucker!

How much does it run to get the stage kit installed on an '09 SS, and is there anyone in the Raleigh area that does it correctly?

Also, do you need a tune after getting the stage kit? I bought my 09 SS wrecked and it came with 17" alloys that I plan on upgrading to 18"s like it should have came with in the next year when the OEM tires wear out.

It seems install prices vary from dealer to dealer. I would check several dealers in your area for prices and to see if they have done upgrage installs before. The kit can vary as well. Sometimes they are on ebay for less, part #19212670.

No, you don't need a tune afterwards, although there are some aftermarkets available and can void any warranty you may have.

I paid $285 off ebay for my kit. $100 for the install.

I downloaded this .pdf and brought it to the appointment
http://www.sandyblogs.com/techlink/t...k_April_09.pdf

went over everything with the tech for the install.

these are the highlights.
1. The tech was the Vette Tech.. this is important i think because of the confined space to work in.

2. he did not remove the charge pipes. (It was a pain in the ass, he raised and lowered the car 20 times) but he felt removing them would have caused more headaches.. some people have had to have their IC moved during the install.

3. It is important to point out the Boss removal.. it is easily overlooked.

4. It took 3 hours. book calls for 1 1/2 to 2 I think.

5 You MUST use the proper crimp tool and they must know how to use it properly. If they don't you will have headaches.
