Most good dealers have a rep trained in Turbo engines. Not just the 2.0 but also the Duramax turbo. The systems are similar and a tech is trained to work with turbo systems can make a differance.

I am sad to day Vettes are no more confined than most other cars anymore.

Number five above is the most important of all. A bad crimp can be a major problem.

Might shop around for a dealer that knows this kit well and make sure you are not the first install.

I would like to know the answer to this as well. I am in Greensboro NC and would like to know if someone local has had a dealer install it without problems around here.

You may just need to call around and ask the dealers and get a price. That is how most of us did it.

See if they have done them and ask how much upfront.

Some of the larger dealers may be the best to ask since they may have done them before or have a tech able to handel this rght. That is to not say a smaller dealer could do this as many can but the odds may be less they even sold a SS let alone installed a kit.

Also get prices with and with out the kit. Some will give breaks on installs if you buy it from them. Sometimes it can be a better deal.

Crate Engine has the kit for under $500. Install should be 1.5-2 hours at their going rate.

The kit comes with a tune (reflash) from a GM dealer. You need to install the parts and get the reflash before driving it.

you can do the install your self...and then drive to a dealer to get reflashed...obviously you will have an appointment...and on the way to the dealer you keep it out of boost...codes can/will come up...but the dealer will erase them...once it gets reflashed

I paid $465 for the kit and $200 for the install (2 hours). I thought that was a bit long but after looking at it closer and talking with the tech, it's not that far off. The bottom wires are very short and it pretty much takes two people to change the connector (one on top and one from the bottom to hold the wires).

It still a great price for the added power and full warranty to boot.
