Superchips Tuner

I am curious. I see no input from anyone that may have used the Superchips Cortex Tuner for the HHR SS which claims a 60.8 HP increase and a 79.8 torque increase. Does anyone have any experience with the Superchips tuner. Seems to me that there would be a real advantage to being able to remove the tune program if needed.

There is a MAJOR increase in performance with this tune. I was a little dissapointed with the performance of the SS auto when I bought it but with this tune it made a HUGE increase in power. I am thrilled with the results, I drove it to work this morning and this little thing is actually fast!

Not knocking anyone but the dealer would have a good argument not to cover the warranty if the engine fails down the road. A GM performance stage 1 will not give 60 hp but will let you keep your warranty. Please correct me if I am wrong, because I really want a tune. But I really need a warranty more. :)

If you're a gambling man then try the aftermarket and hope for the best. I have seen no dyno proof of what this product will or won't do.

Let me tell you what the dealer said yesterday. "If I would have had a non GM tune on my HHR, they would have handed the car back to me and tell me so long." Gm used to ignore a lot of aftermarket upgrades but now they are on top ot it. be even careful of changing Wheels because that will void warranty as well. Even the dealer thinks that one is dumb but could happen.

cobaltss dyno with superchips tune

outside temp: 95 degrees

It is in between the stage 1 and the trifecta from what I have read. it is superior in my opinion for the automatics since it adjust shift speed and firmness

All the Superchip is doing is maxing out all of the tables they can and nothing more. If you really want a tuner, spend the money and get HPTuner.

X2 i just bought one from a friend and now i have to buy the credits to tune the car. Do you have any advise for me on tuning the car?

Also when we did a datalog run, while at WOT it was only reading 84% and at idle it was like around 21-22% did yours read about the same?
