Engine oil is like religion and politics. People will do what they believe in. And for some unknown reason, it always seems to create controversy.

Bottom line is to do what you think is right and buy the oil that you think is best.

This is the way I look at it.

I sell RP and use it in one car and also use Mobil in others. One is just a s good as the other.

Arguing about oil in most cases anymore is like arguing over who has the best inches on a ruler. Most oils anymore are made to a standard and either meet or exceed that standard.

I have seen many customer use RP and I have yet to see anyone have an issue with any of their products. THe same for Red Line and Mobil 1.

Never run it low and change it at 6-7K miles and you should have no oil related issue.

We often talk at work that someone needs to write a book and debunk many of the theories and false Ideas tht no longer pertain to cars. Many of the rules from the past no longer apply and too often the truth getd left behind.

If you want to use RP, go ahead. You can never prove it is any better than any other synethetic oil out there, racing or not. There was a report that came out in the summer about RP, showed it does not stand up as claimed. Didn't say it was bad, but not better than any other syn out there. True/False, could care less. I've never used it, and after hearing that, never will. Amsoil, never used it either. For both, you can not show me any reason to justify the cost. If it's better, prove it..........

Bigot? That's a mighty ugly word considering you know nothing about me. And I'm offended you would even say that.

Congrats, you just made the ignor list. I could care less what small minded people like you think. It's people like you that make forums bad.

Crazy is the dealer and quick lube places charging almost $100.00 for syn

oil is like coffee

starbucks $5.00

McDonalds $1.50

Same product. I brew my own coffee and its better than both

But i don,t have a refinery ,So i'll pay for what i feel is a superior oil.

Heck i am saving about $600.00 a year on coffee
