Are these mods/bolt-ons worth the money??

I'm about to place an order with ZZP and want to make sure it's going to be worth the money. I plan on ordering the LNF Intercooler Package -
Includes:
•28x8x4 Intercooler with brackets
•Silicone replacement couplers
•Stainless T-bolt clamps
•Upper hot side charge pipe
•Lower cold side charge pipe
•All hardware needed to make the proper connections

for $759 and a 3 inch Catlesss Downpipe for $207 (with new gaskets). The total is going to be right at $1000 with shipping. Are these mods really worth the $1000 bucks?

I already have the GMS1 and a Trifecta Tune....pushing about 26-27 lbs of boost no problem.

Any info or thoughts are GREATLY appreciated

im just wondering, is the DP ZZP as well? and from what i know, an upgraded IC will allow you to get a bit more power because its cooling the air more (condensing it) so its forcing a little more in the motor. i really want to know what it will sound like with the DP on

I have a 3" zzp catless dp . N 3" zzp mandrel bent exhaust into a 3" magnaflow muffler n 4" tip. Love it!!!

The IC kit is nice.. I think just changing the piping is nice, more people go with Dejon powerhouse though I think

I've yet to see any proof that anything but the catless downpipe give any extra HP numbers.

Now, if you are upgrading the turbo as part of the plan....dif story.

ZZP is definitely a quality company that supports our platform. Thoiugh they do lean towards the Cobalt SS we can reap the rewards haha! To put it in perspective, what you're spending on all that, I spent on a Hahn catted DP and exhaust ONLY. IMO the coldside pipe isn't truly needed since the stocker's decent. On a side note have Vince turn down your boost to 24-25 psi tops. The stock turbo's out of it's efficiency range at 24psi, 25 psi TOPS. All the 26-27 psi is creating unnecessary stress on the turbo and additional (and unwanted!) heated air. Your car, your choice, but just giving you my .02

@ Chevy13, they do have an HHR SS link, but anything for the Cobalt SS/TC will fit our cars as well.

I used Crazy steves and a dejon hot side only. So they could install the bracket on the cold side. I did it so I could tune it up without worrying about the plastic end caps. I still haven't added the tune but it did give me about 5 miles to the gallon more ? don't know why just happened. I waited for some members to change theirs and bought them used, only spent 300 on both, oh yea and 12.00 for connectors. Kinda like what you are doing about the swaybar, post up a wanted thread never know what some of us have laying around the garage. Couldn't hurt to ask..

Order the ZZP Catless DP and ZZP 3'' Exhaust .
As said above, your gain is more from the DP than anything..
The air is cooler and your engine can breath a little better..
but its not much different than a CAI

after multiple pulls or driving around on a hot day the stock ic will get heat soaked and you will lose tons of power. now as long as it isn't hot as piss out and you are not doing back to back pulls the stock ic does an ok job....but other than that it is crap. it is a well worth it upgrade.

many moons ago when i dyno'd my bsr tune, on the 3rd pull i was down over 30hp from the first pull...............heat soak

an aftermarket ic may not bring any hp gains......but you won't lose any hp either

another thing to think about as im sure many have heard but the plastic pipes and end tanks on the ic are crap as well. my stock upper ic hotside grenaded one day leaving work....literally just exploded...denting my hood from the inside. aftermarket pipes and end tanks are made of aluminum which is going to dissipate the heat much better than the plastic
