Trifecta & Superchips

I have the superchips cortex and tuned over it with the trifecta select-a-tune. It keeps the tranny settings of the superchips. I have an auto and have not had the same results as most with the trifecta tune. I tried it several different ways. With the superchips and without. I found it difficult to get the boost above 15. I would have to blip the throttle before full acceleration and when I did get full boost it was only for a second. It also seems to take longer to reach full boost. The superchips tune is immediate and goes to 18-19 then just above 20 on hard accelerations. The trifecta is higher, but it is hardly seen. I tested the 0-60 with the superchips programmer with the trifecta only, trifecta/superchips trans, and superchips and the superchips was faster every time. I ended up sending back the cable and a few days later reflashed with the superchips. I was expecting more. Maybe the autos need a custom tune.

I have the Trifecta tune, and mine shifts harder than it did without a tune. I have zero slippage at full boost. Maybe it a torque management thing, but thats how mine is. "Moon"

I am running on the first trifecta flash right now. and unless i let off the throttle and then hit it, i wont see full boost. If i am part throttle and then hit it, i only see 15lbs. I am sure this will go away once the tune is complete. If not, i wont be a happy camper. Vince has sent 3 files after that but non would boost over 15lbs, not sure why he keeps messing up, but its getting old. That is why i am still on the fist flash. However, it did got 8.88 @ 81.xx at my local 1/8mile drag strip.

One thing you have to remember about the SS, and holding full boost.
With the electronic "fly by wire" throttle, it will sense every time you even relax the pressure, even a very slight amount.. To keep full boost at WOT, you have to push the "Go" pedal, like your putting your foot through the intercooler. "Moon"

I've got an 08 auto SS with the GM upgrade. Also have the HPTuners tuned in the ecm and line PSI boosted in the TCM for the trans. It will grab a 2nd gear scratch most of the time. The shifts are very firm and enjoyable. I'm also running a progressive methanol injection system. With that I will see boost of 25-28lbs at WOT. It will drop off to close to 18lbs uppwards of 6300rpm though. Bigger turbo will fix that issue. I have ran this car hard at the 1/4 mile many many times. Half of the 35000 miles on it were at the track. ALso had it at the Texas Mile event 2 times and that will string out an engine at the end of a mile.
And my trans still shifts like a dream.

13.31@105 mph. With factory tires. With a different set of tread that number would be alot better.

Agreed. At highway speeds a quick off the throttle then hard on it seems to work best with an auto. Sometimes it downshifts sometimes not. No downshift and 24 psi gives the best results. Your input is noted and very helpful Moon, I'll keep practicing...

I have an 08 auto with GMPP upgrade, tranny went @ 92k. Had the kit installed around 20k, lots of spirited driving.
