Trifecta "Canned" tune?

Looking for a few opinions, I picked up a bone stock 08 Auto SS a few weeks ago and have been researching mods, tunes, etc. And was wondering if ayone had tried the Trifecta "canned" tune. I plan on stepping up to better piping and injectors as budget permits,But this seems like something I could do now and work on the other mods during the snowy months.Anybody out there that has used this tune or any other input/direction would be appreciated!

I've heard good things, alot cheaper than GM's Stage 1 kit.

I dont used trifecta but I am sure some of the users will chime in. I use hptuners to tune and you shouldn't have to worry about injectors no way you will max them out.

I have trifecta, 8 tries and it still has a lag, I'm giving up on it and going to buy what robb has, after I pay for the Brembos.

I had Trifecta prior to HPT.

Wasn't bad, honestly trying to go back to it for silly reasoning, as I'm parting mine down and don't want to make as much power as it is, but getting a hold of Vince is a job in itself and something I've been unable to do for month's now. So skip that.

Don't get me wrong...Vince is a good dude...and knows what he's doing....but I don't think he spends as much time as the car really needs. My car constantly threw codes....update after update...and had a very bad surging issue. I got rid of it (reflashed it with the GMS1 tune) and had James from CobaltSS.net tune it. We logged it many times...and he dialed it in within .08%. When Trifecta was installed...it was off by 30%......

You do the math

Not saying all Trifecta Tunes aren't great...but I guess I've just had some bad experience with it. HPT all the way

I have no opinion either way on him...im just trying to soak up all the lnf options and info i can. im coming from a gti where i just drove to a shop they installed an "APR" tune and then my car hauled ass...this self tuning thing seems very scary ...but at the same time to experiment and do my own tune like HPtuners is equally as interesting... imay have talked myself into buying the hp suite at some point

Not to impugn Vince's tuning ability, but wth? 30% trim is about the limit the car will add/subtract (at least for mine) before CEL or limp mode. Something strange was going on there. I honestly hope it was just a glitch for Trifecta and not representative of his tuning. Still, I can only speak to the efficacy of HPT. You can buy a tune for it, you can have someone tune you remotely, or you can have a go at it yourself. If you're doing it yourself, all future mods effectively involve a free update.
