I think many may want to stay under warranty as well, and while you may be able to go back to stock at a moments notice, will the service reps be able to see the prior tune when you take it in for service? I do find it amazing that they have created a more powerful tune without adding/ replacing any parts like the GMPP tune does.

This was my question to Vince at Trifecta Performance with the warranty.
He said that he has not heard of anyone ever having a problem going back to the dealer with stock configuration.

I was willing to try it. I am sure that others will not be as willing.

I am not trying to talk anyone into this. There is always a risk with anything, I guess. I am not discounting this risk as the dealer might see something, you never know.

It's really hard for me to not order this right now - that much power for $300 is irresistible! I've had some quick cars, but nothing with 300+ hp and torque. I just don't want to break something and not have it covered under warranty

you know i'm gonna mess with ya lol...if you scared of breaking something, stay stock lol.

seriously,if it's your only transportation, i totally understand. i got my ss for performance reasons. i have an another hhrss(if/when my wife comes home lol) 02 extreme blazer and 2crotch rockets for back up and they are paid for, except for my wifes ss. so hhr goes down it can sit till i come up with the cash to fix. however, you don't want to be on the sidelines while everyone elses is having fun. get a tune with bolt ons. in your case(and in mine to a point) stop there. i go back and forth with going with a bigger turbo. IMO,my car have far succeeded it's expectations and everyone that have tried to challange it. in my book,it has nothing else to prove. afterall,at the end of the day,it's still an hhr. now,i'm going on to the looks dept.

All I can say is that the change in performance is DEFINITELY more then 20HP increase.

I am VERY happy with the results.
the butt dyno lies lol!!! it feels more than 20 hp,but chances are it's not. i though for sure i was atleast at 280whp when i felt my hahn tune.take it to a different dyno. most places charge $50-$75 for three pulls. c'mon man,you just shelled out for a tune...what's $50-$75 bucks today lol???

I just put $450 into my HIDs and not $435 into the tune. My wife said, "NO MORE!" At least for a while. If you would like to donate to the "Orbitalrage's dyno fund" I will accept contributions and be more then happy to go when I have enough to get it done. Otherwise, I am not paying for this. I don't really care. It's everyone else that cares .

I wasn't hung up with the specific number increase. I work with a guy who has a '04 TL and we were pretty close to neck and neck before the tune. I just needed an edge and this was the cheapest, quickest way to do that.
We are good friends. But he has a much nicer car with it's amenities, but now I have the faster of the two...Mwahahahahaha.

Again, please understand that I am not telling anyone buy this one over another tune. But if you want a tune, get one. I am not sure if the other tunes would feel like more power or not, I don't have them. All I know is that I am VERY happy with the increase in performance, whether it's 20HP or 40HP, or somewhere in between, I love it!

I've heard that 08 or newer the dealer can tell if its been tuned or not even if you revert it. That's why people buy a second ECM for the actual tune. Not sure if it's really true or not tho.
