Turbo upgrade

Got mine, installed it, and drove it to the dealer for reflashing.(5 speed)
All I can say is,,,,,,
1. Just try and wipe the smile off
2. Plan on buying gas more often
Just damn,,,,,,

Did you install it yourself? I thought it wouldn't run if you installed it yourself. This could make my decision a lot easier since the install is what I worried about.

I'm also curious if it would run on an auto car? If so, I'll install it myself.

The install will run but not well. Think of it as running out of tune till the flash is one.

I saw where GM said you can install it and drive it to the dealer but to use caution in doing so and only for a short distance If I recall.

The docs say it's not recommended but if you do, ignore all codes. Unless you start beating on it, it's not going to do anything odd. It's just a 11% shift in the map readings. That's not going to make much of a difference if you are nice. Just don't push it too far into boost.

If you install it yourself and drive it to the dealer on the second key cycle it will set code. These codes can limit boost and worst case could put the vehicle into limp home/reduced power mode. SO BE CAREFUL PLEASE!!!!!

Thanks for the info. I'm going to install mine myself and take it to them for the flash. I'll snap photos of the process and write it up for others to see here.
