Turbo Upgrade Kit Warranty and "Racing"
And who wouldnt abuse a turbocharged car that comes with 260hp stock??????
If theyre gonna deny warranty work on a car with the stage kit they mind as well tell customers that as soon as its installed your warranty is gone.
I would care either way because i drive my car the way its meant to be driven

If you want to race the vehicle then do it. The OP wanted to know if it voided his warranty to install. I answered that.
Correct... I ask my service guy if my warranty would be voided if I installed the IC and Piping and he said no. The only way it would void the warranty is if it was the root cause of engine failure. A Leaky engine with oil dripping out would not be voided if there are aftermarket parts installed on the vehicle.
Now a long while ago, I talked about how changing wheels on a vehicle could void some warranty because it could have direct effects on the spindle and rotors. But that was a chassis warranty. Not sure the details.

Thanks for the replies. I had felt that by GM offering the stage kit and warranty GM was saying that my SS and all of its associated powertrain parts were capable of handling more power than it originally came with. They were offering the stage kit for those who wanted maximum power. My dealer hesitating to do the install due to liability and the racing clause just threw me. The racing claus looked like a big loophole that GM could use against a customer if they had a major parts failure.
So with the kit installed I can drive how I do now- 90% of the time like a grandpa poking along at the speed limit and accelerating casually to stretch my fuel milage. Then 10% of the time, I can take off from a stop sign quickly, get on it and pass someone on a two lane road, and on a rare occasion use launch control to have a little extra fun. I'll just be doing it with more power and when I'm driving easy, maybe a little more MPG.
And, hopefully this would never happen, but if I were to have a powertrain problem with my car, I would take the car to the dealer and let GM fix the problem under warranty. No questions asked since I am just driving my car, not racing it. Is that correct?
Since my dealer is not willing to do the install and other small-town dealers around here have most likely never heard of the turbo upgrade kit can anyone recommend a dealer in KC, Tulsa, or Springfield, MO that has installed the turbo upgrade kit?

Meant to be driven meaning that i wont be driving the car like a ***** and worry about something breaking haha. **** with 300 some hp under the hood coming from a little 4 banger you bet that i wanna have some fun with it. And if something breaks and my "aftermarket parts" arent the root of the problem then it will be fixed under warranty. Im not trying to start any kind of an argument here im just saying
Yup my buddies dad goes through a set of summer tires each summer on his vette and dude is going on 50 so yeah.... If you're an "adult" and you're worried about things breaking then whats the point of buying a performance car??? **** is bound to go wrong
