What's up with HAHN?

Does anyone know when Hahn plans to have a BOV ready for us.

I also wonder why they have been sooo slow to come up with a Cold air intake or ram air.

WHAT'S UP HAHN, WE HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR OVER A YEAR?

OH YEAH, how about a BIG TURBO?

DON'T YOU WANT OUR $$$$$$$$$$$

HAHN HAHN HAHN HAHN HAHN!!!!!!

Hahn is a non-player for new products. He had my HHR for over ten months to get a turbo set-up for the 2.4 and never finished. I finally had to tell him NO MORE! So he still doesn't have a kit because he never really did the tune.

Believe nothing he says.

You know, this has been the word around town. Folks have been telling me that they seem to be trying to get as much as they can with what they have done and that they seem to be getting out of the game. This is nuts because I know lots of folks that are depending on them and that will back them as long as they are here for us. You see they actioned off that ride, they might be doing the close out sale thing.

HAHN, WHAT IS UP??????? HELLO!!!!!

I was at Hahn RaceCraft back in January and the shop was packed with cars, warehouse/shipping/fabrication was busy and the phones were ringing. In October, shop had three cars in it including mine, nothing happening in warehouse/shipping/fabrication and the phones were dead. Down to four employees as near as I could tell and that included Bill and his wife. BTW, they are shutting down and moving to a much smaller shop, likely won't have their own dyno anymore.

Stick a fork in 'em, they're done!

I've had a 15+ year relationship with him (and Bill, Sr.) that he managed to piss away in less than a year... with failed commitment after failed commitment, and all the phone calls asking me not to discuss problems I experienced with his products in the car forums, and all the excuses that essentially were "I need you to bear the burden of my business problems."

For those of you on his spamlist, you will have gotten his "we're auctioning away this brand new racecar" message, designed to sound like some kind of super-duper promo. Then, a few weeks later, a followup email indicating that they were now "disclosing the reserve," which probably meant that nobody bit the hook the first time. He's clearly jettisoning everything he can get a few bucks out of; as mentioned above, he's bailing out of the shop he's got. He may be only a heartbeat away from locking the doors... one of the Cobalt guys still has his car there (or did the last time I checked in on the discussion). My advice to him and anyone else who has personal property inside of Hahn's facilities... get it out quickly. If he is indeed about to go under, all he has to do is toss a few mechanic's leans on the customer cars he's got and your car will be stuck in hostageland until you pony up $$$... even if he hasn't done what he was commissioned to do, or what you expected to do, or to the level you expected.

Regardless of his current business condition, or what the future may hold, he won't see another dime from me. And if he's the only one with something on the market that I'm looking for, I'll make my own or do without.

I've called the shop a few times and you use to be able to get a live person, but recently the answering service says to leave a message and they will return your call or to send an email. The only way you can get to talk to someone is if you press "to place an order" then you get a live person ready to snatch that cash out of your hands in a jiffy. I just spent the max for the Halloween special they had and I was willing to spend lots more if they get their ****e together. The funny thing is that as far as our cars, they have the hard parts done; all they need to come up with is a BOV and a CAI.

I hope they pull it together, I know that a lot of folks bit off a little more than they could chew a couple of years ago before the economy went down the crapper, but what you will find is that when this is all over with only the true and honest good guys will be left standing and all the fakers will be weeded out. I hope that Hahn will be around since he claims to be “THE MAN” when it comes to our engines. He’s built the name, if I had the reputation he has, I would never let it tarnish.

Funny thing, I just checked out there site and they had a Cyber Monday sale where they mentioned "Closeout" on one of their older kits. I wonder if this is the start of things rolling down hill. They might be trying to bounce back with all of these sales or are they doing the Circuit City thing to disappear?
I hope they get back on track.

Another thing that just came to mind now that the cat seems to be coming out of the bag; when I was installing my Hahn exhaust a weeks ago. I was checking it out and I might be wrong but I don't think I am wrong, on their site they say that they are selling you a stainless steel exhaust. What I noticed is that they seem to have used a mild steel or regular muffler pipe and dipped/chromed the parts. Stainless is hard and doesn't bend easily, but the material they used is malleable and I was able to lightly tap the edge of one of the pipes that arrived bent and with two light taps it moved, stainless does not do this, it’s pretty hard to bend or cut. Also, the pipe was grey on the inside, stainless from what I’ve seen is silver or a sort of brownish tinge if not polished. Like I said, I might be wrong, but I don’t think I am. I put it on and it sounds great and the gains are there, and I didn’t want to believe HAHN would do such a thing, now I have my doubts since hearing all of this. $600 bucks is a lot of money for something that may rust/rot out. I may pull it off and have it checked out.
