Update to previous post. Well after all that, I got the wrong part from ZZP. Needed dp with two o2 bungs, only had one. had to order another pipe, finally got it and have it installed. The good news is, it sounds great, improved performance and gas mileage, but now cel is on!? Haven't had a chance to pull code yet. Any ideas, suggestions???

Is your O2 bung, long....? as it needs a de-fouler. If not, you need to add one, or your gonna throw cells, as the O2 mix isn't quite right, at the pipe

. Weird, I thought our cars only needed one bung, the other one would be for data-logging, I assume.

Send an email to "customer service", might as well throw it in the trash can. I finally just ordered it online since I couldn't get a person to acknowledge me. I ordered it on a Monday, 3 day shipping option expecting to get it on Friday. I had gotten a "form" email saying my order status was in process on Monday so I responded to it Friday asking for an ETA and a few hours later I got another "form" email saying it had been shipped. Some 3 day service time. Their service, or more accurately lack of service SUX! I'll never order anything from ZZP again. If you feel you have to buy from them, give yourself plenty of time and don't expect any concern about customer satisfaction on their part. I'm now concerned about the quality of the part since they obviously give so little attention to detail. Buyer Beware!!!
Sucks to be you man... ive never had a problem with ZZP theyre great guys i know them and have talked to them numerous times... theyre basically the only company left supporting the cobalt community so stop crying and enjoy your top notch downpipe.

Unless you plan on running a seperate wideband, you only need 1 bung. The LNF already reads it from the factory. CEL will come on with a catless downpipe unless you have it turned off in the tune. Its just a matter of when/how often. I only had one code pop up in the 8 or so months, I had it on. Simply cleared it and it never reappeared. I also only had the turbo upgrade, not a real tune. Never had a problem with ZZP. Matt was always helpful and responded promply to my emails. Their customer service is one of the best in the Ecotec world if you ask me.

Update, unlike bartSS, my experience with zzp was terrible, so I guess it's hit or miss at best. I added a anti-fouler to the rear o2 sensor and I only get a cel light occsionally now and it goes out pretty soon. Otherwise runs better, sounds better and gets better mileage. I just bought a 2011 hhr and will probably modify the exhaust on it when the warranty expires, but I'll shop for a free flow cat/downpipe elsewhere.

I picked up a Catless DP from Hahn fron the black friday sale. Very easy transaction and the DP bolted right up and still hasn't thrown a code for no cats. It sounds awesome too and it gave me more torque

The engine on an auto is angled forward more, so the top is a little farther from the firewall. Some have reported using the shorter manual downpipe without problems, as the exhaust is on rubber hangers and 1/2" isnt that much.

I've had the Cat-less on since Aug. threw a few codes about a month in, they figured out I didn't tighten the O2 enough. none since. Love it real tourque'ie sounds nice coupled with their exhaust too, but pricey pricey pricey.

Modern Performance Downpipe

Bought a catless Modern Performance downpipe. Excellent workmanship, came with a short 90degree piece to screw into the O2 bung. My HHR SS is an automatic and the pipe was a little short, so just tugged it forward until I got the flange bolts started, and then pulled the flange pieces together by tightening the flange bolts in an alternating pattern. The rubber exhaust hangers got stretched a little, but the pipe has been on now for about 10k miles with no failures. Also no codes with the Trifecta Infinitune and the O2 sensor installed into the 90degree bung extension. Modern Performance service/shipping was super fast.
