2.2 supercharged??
the computer according to my converstations with -md- hhr have told me that it is too simple in the hhr. and i have also seen like in the pictures above that the kit bolts up to the hhr but without tthe programming it just aint gonna run right.
the supercharger is liquid to air intercooler ready. just gotta add a system. and yes it would be cheaper to get the SS probably but i want a sleeper. but then again i did only pay $13,500 for my LT. and figure maybe 4 grand for supercharger. still cheaper for the supercharger, at least in my case.
The problem with the HHR ECU is that it runs Alpha-N...and Alpha-N can not see boost. Now if it was Speed Density, that would be a different story.
Yes, there is not an intercooler with the cavalier package. One can be added, and like the SS balt use the same 2 or 1 pass intercooler, which helps temps greatly.

First thing is that the pic of the "Nomad" project car is a LSJ 2.0 SC engine directly transplanted from a Cobalt. It's not a 2.2 L61. Not sure what they did for engine management though. The LSJ uses a much different ECM (P12) than the L61's which have used two different ECMs thus far ('06 = E16a; '07 + is E37).
The Eaton M62 blower setup can be tuned for the 2.2 L61s. While not following it much, check out a company called Trifecta Tuning. It's already been done on our sister Cobalts.
The statement that HHR ECM (any of the 4 so far) run Alpha-N programming is absolutely false.
Due to the complexities of today's ECMs, piggyback tuning attempts have run across many problems.

That's why I had the question marks in the thread title. I knew it wasn't any that I had seen in an HHR, but didn't know any others well enough to tell.
The '06 = E16a runs Alpha-N.
07 + is E37, I was told by chris from HPTuners that the L61 HHRs were Alpha-N.
P12 has to be speed density, but we are not talking about that now are we...
Further more the Eaton M62 will bolt up to the L61, LE5, LNF, LSJ, and what ever the saab Turbo Ecotec RPO code is.
