Absolutely NONE of the HHR ECMs use an Alpha-N strategy for airflow measurement. They are all MAF based with Speed Density as a backup should the MAF fail.

Alpha-N only uses throttle position and RPM as inputs. It does not use MAF or MAP, both of which all the HHR engines have.

Whatever you claim Chris from HPT told you, it seems you misunderstood, as you apparently misunderstand the current GM engine management systems.

Please read up on Alpha-N before making any more false statements.

I was just going off a convo I had with chris. If I miss understood. I'm sorry, but that is what I was told.

I went back through all my old emails. You sir are correct. They all run SD, but the newer E37 are missing a lot of calibration tables so the ECM can not add fuel under boost.

Also the E16 OS is completely different than everything else...even though it is speed density....it runs like an Alpha-n OS.
I see where I was confused.

Joe thank you for keeping me inline.

OK motor heads great info but for an old carb and distributor guy I will just nod my head and go "yep sounds about right" But still the upclose and personal with the Nomad was cool.

What lb/hr are the stock injectors on the 2.2? What is their duty cycle? Could they even handle fueling a boosted application?

Or would a injector swap be mandatory?

Not sure what the rating is, but I'm sure bigger injectors would be needed.

Working where I work...LOL I think a LS1 swap would be easier, faster (much!) and cheaper...LOL! Also, RWD is kinda cool. Or, maybe a 598 BB with a Lenco?
