Cat-back

opinion question here...but would the gm cat back system be better than say the magnaflow considering its a gm part made for gm vehicles..or would the magnaflow not be as restrictive?
anybody have the gm exhaust?

im going by the description off gmpp website, but it seems as if the gm exhaust has a better sound then the magnaflow.. agrresive growl (gmpp) vs deep tone (magnaflow)

Borla's a brand name, too. I had a Magnaflow on my last car (Saabaru), and loved it, but Borlas are real popular in some circles (like Subaru and Corvette, that I know of). It's pretty subjective, so maybe you could try and fine vids on youtube of your engine with each exhaust. I don't think anything you are considering is crap, but you need more to make a decision.

ya i hear borla is a little louder than magna so ya im going to have to find some vids and compare..borla is like double the price for just more sound? and maybe because of being built with t300 while the magna is a mix of t400 and stainless

I have the GMPP cat back system.
It is made by Borla, with GM numbers and logo stamped on them.

It sounds good to me..has a throaty sound, not a "fart can" ricer sound.
It's a nice set up to go along with an intake(GMPP) if you can find one.

They are the same except for the numbers and logo stampings.

I didn't know they were the same untill I did some searches on the forum.
I bought mine used, and got a sweet deal.

There are a lot of posts to read on the forum about exhaust.
I am very pleased with mine, but my gas milage has went to the dogs.
(Because I just can't stop doing WOT's just to hear it)
