Well, the temptation was too great! I was in Anaheim, CA yesterday for an appointment, so went by www.truckshop.com. Spoke with Jeff and left with Goldline Springs and the CGS Intake. (I can resist anything but temptation!)

I installed the intake this afternoon after getting home from work. The allen screws for the sensor were there. However, the bolt to attach to the manifold was also too long for me as well. Used a couple of hard rubber faucet washers - one on either side of the bracket - to take up the extra length. Thought they would help with some vibration as well.

Very happy with the fit and finish of the product. Will be interesting to see what performance improvements, if any, I will notice.

BTW, to clean the install up a bit more, I also removed the bracket from the back of the engine that supports the original air filter housing.

What is the wisdom of installing a CGS for someone who has to deal with nasty weather for part of the year (salt, snow freezing rain, salt, etc)

I don't like the idea if that cone being exposed like that

Goose...I live in Colorado and we have all of what you're talking about. I've had my CGS on for almost 2 years and never had an issue. It got below zero here a few times last year and it ran just great.

Thanks Deb...is there any advantage to a CGS? Drawbacks? MPG suffer? CEL's?
