Cherry Bomb Vortex muffler

I have been looking at this muffler and had a couple questions:

1. What inlet/outlet configuration is needed for the HHR so that the tip exits the factory location?

2. What diameter muffler should be used? I assume the 2.25" diameter muffler, is this correct or no?

I have the 2.2 with the stock exhaust. Thanks for any info!

1. center./center should do it
2. just get underthere and measure it if you can get the circumfrence of the pipe you can get the diameter.

1. From what Ive read on here, center in/offset out is needed, I just want to confirm this.

Thank you for you generic answer though

Mine is the Vortex 88101 Cherry Bomb

Mine is the Vortex 88101? (I think) Cheery Bomb muffler and it is really nice. I think it is the best sounding one I have ever heard. Not very loud but has a nice tone to it. The muffler is also one of the most free flowing ones made so it will not creat backpressure.
You will really like it.

Are you sure on the 88101? That has a 2.25" offset inlet/offset outlet.

Try the 88100 that should be it.
I am going off of my memory but I think that is right? Call Brent Florus at 979-743-4521 and he can help you. Tell him you have the HHR and you want the same muffler I ordered. I think mine is the off set inlet and center outlet 2.25
Hope this helps, Curly
