This question is for you seasoned HHR owners. How well does the HHR handle in wintery conditions?

very good. if its icy and real windy i add about 20 pounds weight in rear to kepp it goin straight

 

Sorry, its to early for me to say, my first winter with a HHR, but the last two days have been very very icy (-10 C.) and it sure ain’t no 4 X 4.

 

I think it really depends on the tires as much as the car.

Last winter my wife went up icy hills that others were sliding back down backwards. She still has the original tires.

Mine, I have G-Force tires and couldn't even get off of my street!

 

very good unless your trying to go though a foot of snow with a cross wind coming off of lake erie at like 25 mph

 

The factory tires don't handle significant snow well at all. If I wasn't so cheap, I'd replace mine.

 

Had no problems out here in Nebraska with mine. Of course on Ice is a differant story, don't know of anything that does excellant on icey roads.

 

 

WOW! thanks for all the input. I've never been a fan of "driving it like you stole it", so I should be OK. I was most curious about the light rear end (wish I had that problem ) Guess I'll have to keep some sandbags back there, hell if I get stuck, the sand itself can be used for traction...
