at least round here all our gas is 10% ethanol and i hate it. we now have to put racing fuel in my dads '75 caddy becuase it wont even run on pump gas now. but yes it will reduce foreign oil and the such. but what we really need to find is if it cleans

 

My S10 lost 2 mpg when they did the 10% ethanol. The con about the reducing foreign oil is that making the ethanol uses more energy (oil etc) than it saves when it goes into our tanks. Not to mention we make it from subsidized corn which is the least viable product to make it from.

Brazil has the system to make and distribute ethanol down pat but it would never happen here because of government controls.
