I know the cobalt guys have a mod that removes a large plastic resonator box from the stock intake. Do we have those on the HHR?

The stock is actually a very well flowing intake that draws cooler air from the outside. Is it perfect, no, but it's still a good design.
X 2, & OEM box doesn't cost almost $400 clams either..

So you don't have proof, it's just your opinion. I tink I'll keep looking.

Just the facts...... CSG sucks hot air. Stick your head under the hood and have someone drive you around the block, see how much fresh air you actually get.

Smile CAI setup on my Panel 2009

Purpose : need more and fresh air when needed
Must : CAI system accessing fresh and cool air from outside engine compartment.
Recomend : GMPP or Airaid modified
I installed a Airaid CAI with a closed cover (like GMPP system), also relocated the hose (originaly going to fender) now connects directly to the front of the vehicle (beside the right front light).

Conclusion : - no hot air from engine compartment (must)
- bigger air filter (must)
- no error codes (must)
- fresh and cool air to engine (must)
- lowest cost possible (must)
- looks (acceptable)
