Lightweight Crank and Alternator Pulleys

Ok, heres the background info first.

I'm currently designing a 2.2 Ecotec pulley for my J-Body community. This will also work on HHR's & Cobalts. I currently have a 2.0 Cobalt SS pulley. I have been told that the only difference between the two are the number of ribs for the belts. I agree with this, but would like to get my hands on a 2.2 ecotec pulley to confirm other dimensions. With out taking it of my HHR. The alternator pulley is currently in production since it is the same as a 2.4L twin cam "quad 4 motor."

I just really want to know if I can get my hands on a 2.2 crank pulley. Does anyone have one or can obtain one...

Any comments or remarks are welcomed.

My first option would be to try checking your local junk yard.

"Dealer Item" - just buy one from your local dealer (he'll most likely need to order it).

That's what we do when designing new parts.

Yeah I can just do that I just do not want a part that I am never going to use again. But worse comes to worse I'll just buy one.

It's pretty much the only way with a new vehicle like this, we have had to buy shocks, struts, rotors, rear beauty bar, - all just to get parts to prototype off of. Hopefully you will make your money back in the end...

Got one off a 2004 cavalier. I'll take my fender well lining off to make sure it is the same as the HHR. Hope to have it completely designed by the 4th.

Please inform me how the alternator pulley fits your 2.4 ecotec.
