Got my magnaflow exhaust installed, sounds good. But it seems to be getting a little louder as I put some miles on it. Hope it dosen't get any louder, now getting a little drone at idle inside.

Muffler Installation

About $300, muffler comes with 4" D stainless tip and required a 1.75 to 2.25 adapter.

Changed sound

The Drone form the Magnaflow was a little annoying at times inside the car when accelerating a from take off so I added another 12" resonator after the factory resonator to try to tame it. It now sounds excellent, reduced the drone and deepend the tone. Sounds like it has 2 extra cyclinders.

That seems high. I payed under $50 for the muffler and found a 4" tip on ebay for like $15. $100 to have it installed.

I also have the magnaflow street which I just got replaced yesterday after the seal on the resinator cracked anyways the boys at magnaflow were very helpful and sent me a new one without any hassles. only 18,000 km on the old one. Great sounding exhaust though keeps people moving at the McDonalds drive through...

check out the flex pipe on the cat.dealer told me that it is a common problem with the HHR they split. My exhaust got louder also and they replaced that pipe and it is now quieter. I only paid $50 to have my exhaust hooked up at a local shop they loved it
