They live within 30 miles of our house, but I would drive the full trip cause they have been our friends for 48 years!
The farmers not the chickens.

Sweetie and I love to cruise the countryside in a nice 55 degree day in February it's kinda rare up here , our average temperature is 30 degrees at this time of year!

I'm surprised this worked for you. I tried it on my'05 Saabaru, and it didn't. Could have sent you the spacer I have...

Oh. I just realized you have a cat that may be lame... mine was in my garage attic because my headers replaced it with a 6" resonator.

You are attempting a tweak, while mine was a bald-faced lie to the ECM.

I also burned up my #2 O2 sensor in that header. Had to buy a new one in my back-to-stock moves. Such fun.

So far it's working, I've got my finger on the purchase button of a new catalytic converter when or if the P0420 comes back!

Well, so far, no further P0420 code! Just wondering how long this will last.
Now the innards of catalytic converter is rattling and clunking, so I'm forced to order up a new catalytic converter DP.
Funding is tight so I ordered the good old EBay

The pipe is stainless steel, nice mandrel bent , no crumbled corners or choke areas!
It's 2 inch ID pipe

Another shot

I left the bubble wrap on as I have to wait a week or two till the warmer weather, it's 21 F outside right now!

The flanges are laser cut. No , no sharks, with fricking laser beams.

The front flange has a step down , I suppose to help protect the flex pipe!

The ZZP doesn't have that step down in their 2.2 DP

Their pipe seems to step down to two inches at the rear flange

They also mandrel bend their tubing, the catalytic converter is smaller.

So, we shall see, I believe the 2 1/2 pipe won't make much more power.
I did experiment a few years back , 2 1/2 DP , a 2 1/2 inch Magnaflow 400 catalytic converter, a 2 1/2 inch 30 inch long resonator, then a 2 3/4 inch Magnaflow muffler. A waste of time for me, but that's how we learn!
