I dont have a dyno and I don't tune so IMO its better for your motor in the long run. The last link has basically a complete install instruction that you would get with the kit.

Your biggest concern would be where to put the bottle, routing the lines and then wiring.

If I recall HHR are drive by wire so this kit would be ideal, universal drive by wire.

I always liked the Fogger system. Cant really put it on a HHR though.

For carb systems I like Speedteks Diffuser plates. Really good set up. Direct port is always the way to go if once can swing it. Sometimes access to the pills become a real PITA.

http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/drag-r...te-system.html good link on how the kit looks.

Call that shop I gave you the link for and see if A) they would do it and B) what the shop rate and hours it would take. I am wagering 3-4 hours @ 75-90$ per hour. I have never done a drive by wire kit so you can't go by me.

Do a google for speed shops in OH and you should get some quotes that way too.

This is a good link, list all shops in Ohio that use a Dynojet which is a good unit, you can google for Mustang Dynos too and get a bunch of hits.

Some shops will allow you to bring your own stuff and install, some require you to buy through them. You have to go ask. So start calling and see what they have. MOST are a Dealer for NOS, NX, and other companies so you can get a out the door quote easily.

Plus since more do tuning its a great deal.

Just ask their exp with HHRs or even just Cobalts, or to a broader extent Ecotech engine exp.

Unfortunately I do not live at or near Ohio to tell you but IMO a average person with some basic tools can install a kit on their car. Most of the time its deciding where the bottle goes and routing the lines. Then its the wiring and depending on what safety features you use there in lies the work. IMO with most kits you do need a window switch, purge, bottle heater (or Nano Kit), as well as a heat range or 2 colder on the plugs and a good dyno tune set up to be safe with Nitrous.
