Been some talk about superchargers. How about the Poor Man's supercharger: Nitrous? Only use it when you need it. Have heard some talk of how the stock ecotec is built pretty strong already. Wonder if it would handle a 100 shot? Clutch or auto trans would not handle it, unless modified. 50 shot might be more sane. Surely there are Nos systems out there for the ecotec and running in Ions and Cobalts already? Lots more space in an HHR to put a bottle.

Just thinking out loud. I would never do this because:

1. I'm too cheap
2. I like my warranty
3. I gave up go-fast stuff

 

You could wicked hide a bottle on one of the HHR Panel's, so many large storage compartments...

 

I can see it now. A 2.4L Panel w/ beefed up limited slip transaxle turning 275hp when they spray w/ the bottle. Slay unsuspecting PTCruiser GT's at will.

yeah there are alot of cobalts and ions running nos. the tech as greatly improved lately and has made it very safe to run if you no the limits of the motor.

so far it seems that wet 75 shot is the highest on the 2.2 n 2.4. know a ion 2.2 thats been using it for a year now. got great results.

i've been thinking of going bottle fed for a while now.

Along with your Zex kit I would recommend a "window" switch from someplace like MSD. Just in case you are unsure or for those reading that don't know. The window switch is programmable to make sure the nitrous does NOT activate too low and to shut it off before the rev limiter to prevent nasty engine destroying results. A good start with this switch is to start the acivation at 3500rpms and have the cutoff around 6150-6200 about 300 rpms short of redline. This would save your engine more than you know!

ok. i dont plan on using it to much(but thats just what i am saying now), i got the purge kit, the full throttle activation switch and all that stuff! i cant wait to put it in but there goes my damn warranty and the thing is for some reason i purchased the extended one, the car just got 3000 miles on it today and i have only had the car for about a month and a half!! lol
